Junior Teams

The Geelong Hockey Club offers playing opportunities to children of all ages and skill levels. Our club, in association with Hockey Victoria and Hockey Australia, run introductory programs for juniors new to our sport.

Winter Competition

For those children who had already been exposed to the sport of hockey, our club participates in local junior competitions, as follows:

Under 8 – Lloyd Reserve, Newtown
Under 10 – Lloyd Reserve, Newtown
Under 12 – Stead Park Hockey Complex
Under 14 – Stead Park Hockey Complex
Under 17 – Stead Park Hockey Complex

Training for the winter season commences at Geelong’s premier hockey complex, Stead Park, on 23 March, with the season proper kicking off on 30 April. Please contact us for more information.

Hookin2Hockey

Hookin2Hockey has been developed to give children aged 10 and under a fun environment in which to learn the game of hockey, and perfect the skills in a modified game-based environment.  Ideal for those new to the sport, Hookin2Hockey is run on Wednesday afternoons for 6 weeks. Stick2Hockey

Designed as a follow on program for children who have completed the Hookin2Hockey program, Stick2Hockey is a fun training and social hockey activity for children aged 14 and under, designed for those not wanting to participate in a competitive environment.  Please contact us for more information.
