History
Established in 1913, Geelong Hockey Club has a proud history spanning more than a century. Formed through the amalgamation of Geelong’s early men’s and women’s hockey clubs, our Club has played an important role in fostering and developing hockey throughout the Geelong region. Geelong Hockey Club is proud to call Stead Park, Geelong’s premier hockey venue, our home. With two synthetic hockey pitches and newly redeveloped facilities, Stead Park is home to our training and games throughout the season.
New to hockey?
There are plenty of ways to get started with hockey at Geelong Hockey Club.
Our Come & Try sessions give new players the chance to pick up a stick, learn some basic skills and have a go in a fun and welcoming environment. No experience is needed and equipment is provided.
For our younger players, Hookin2Hockey is a great introduction to the game, helping kids learn the basic skills of hockey through fun, modified activities and games.
